Transvoyage ("we", "us") lists intercity departures from transport agencies in Mauritania and lets travellers book a seat from the Transvoyage mobile app or website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers both the mobile app and this website.
Information we collect
When you book a seat as a traveller. Booking needs no account. To reserve seats we collect your full name, your phone number, an optional second phone number, the trip and number of seats you choose, and the resulting booking reference, total fare and payment status. The phone number is how the agency reaches you about the departure, so it is passed on to them.
When you register an agency. We collect the agency name, a phone number (your login identifier), an optional email address, the country you operate from, and a password, which we store only as a salted hash — never in readable form. While you are signed in we also record the IP address and browser user-agent attached to your session, so you can be signed out of devices you no longer use.
Data your device keeps. The mobile app saves your confirmed tickets on the device itself so they can be shown offline, along with your language preference. That copy never leaves your phone and is erased when you delete the app. The website stores your language choice in a cookie.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary request logs (IP address, time, page or endpoint requested) for security and troubleshooting.
What we do not collect. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or device identifiers. There is no advertising, no third-party analytics and no cross-app tracking in the Transvoyage app.
How we use your information
- To create, confirm and look up your booking, and to issue a ticket reference.
- To let the transport agency operating your departure identify you at boarding and contact you if the departure changes.
- To take payment for a ticket and record whether it has been settled.
- To sign agencies in, protect accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To keep the service reliable, secure and working correctly.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The transport agency operating your trip receives your name, phone number(s), seat count and booking reference. They need it to carry you.
- Payment providers. When paying by mobile money (Bankily), the payment is processed by the provider under their own terms; we receive back only the payment status and reference.
- Our hosting and infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes and stores the data on our behalf.
- Authorities, where we are required to disclose information by applicable law or a valid legal request.
We do not share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Bookings and tickets are kept while they are useful for support, accounting and dispute resolution, and are deleted or anonymised after that. Agency accounts are kept for as long as the account is open; if you close it, we delete the account and its trips, keeping only what accounting rules require. Tickets saved inside the mobile app stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- See the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate — a misspelled name or a wrong phone number.
- Delete your bookings or your agency account.
- Stop using your data for a specific purpose.
Write to us using the contact details below and we will respond within a reasonable delay. We may need to confirm your identity — usually via the phone number the booking was made with — before acting on a request. You can delete the tickets stored on your phone yourself at any time from the app.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, all traffic runs over HTTPS, and agency dashboards are reachable only with a valid session. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse.
Children
Transvoyage is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. An adult should make the booking; a child's name may appear on a ticket booked by their parent or guardian.
International transfers
Our infrastructure provider operates a global network, so your data may be processed on servers outside Mauritania. We only use providers that commit to protecting it wherever it is handled.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell you in the app or by phone when the change is significant.
